Profhilo® Injectable Treatments
About the Profhilo® Injectable Treatment
Profhilo® is one of the latest innovations to treat skin laxity by skin bio-remodeling. This occurs through the slow release of Hyaluronic Acid (HA gel), a unique skin remodelling treatment that is injected superficially.
Profhilo® works by stimulating the production of collagen and elastin in the skin, improving skin tone, texture, and hydration, and leaving you with rejuvenated, glowing skin. An amazing treatment for the face and neck.
Unlike traditional Hyaluronic Acid dermal fillers you may have come across, Profhilo® does not volumise, instead, it is injected just under the surface of the skin to stimulate new collagen and elastin to improve skin hydration, lines, wrinkles, skin tone, laxity and firmness while giving a tightening and lifting effect to our skin.
How does Profhilo® work?
Profhilo® is injected just under the surface of our skin to stimulate skin cells – giving a tightening and lifting effect to the skin. Containing one of the highest concentrations of Hyaluronic Acid on the market, the revolutionary ‘beneath the skin’ moisturising treatment is made with the patented NAHYCO technology, which makes it possible to deliver these high levels of hyaluronic acid safely and effectively.
In case you’re not aware of all the incredible benefits and capabilities of HA, it’s a water-binding molecule that can hold up to 10,000 times its weight in water. It naturally occurs in the skin but as we age, our bodies will begin to produce less of it. By using HA through topical skincare, or via injectables, it can stimulate the skin cell receptors to improve and restore firmness to the skin. But unlike traditional fillers, Profhilo’s aim is not to volumise, instead, it attracts and retains water to the superficial layer of the face – giving you an unmatched glow. This makes it a great treatment to have before a big event such as a wedding if you want to have flawless, dewy skin!
What are the benefits of Profhilo?
At Appearance Coach, we use Profhilo as a way to improve skin quality. Thinkthink of Profhilo as being the ultimate step in your skincare routine. Because it works at a deeper level, Profhilo creates structure and support alongside hydration which will give the skin an unmatched amount of bounce and plumpness. It can also improve the skin’s overall texture and tone, giving you a healthier-looking complexion.
Who should and shouldn’t get Profhilo?
As mentioned, Profhilo® works wonders for hydrating the skin, as well as regenerating the skin when the first signs of ageing begin to appear. Because the outcome is always very natural looking, it is generally considered to be a good treatment for all skin types. However, if you have extensive sun damage or more engrained lines and wrinkles, you may require more treatments to see the desired results. This is something to raise during your consultation, and the nurse will be able to tell you whether you will achieve your desired look – and if not, how other treatments might be better suited to help you get there. It’s also worth noting that Profhilo® is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women.
When considering any injectable treatment it’s always good to measure and manage your expectations to find out what exactly it will achieve, and what it won’t. Profhilo® is not filler – therefore, its main goal is not to add volume to specific areas of the face. If this is what you’re after, then dermal filler might be more suited. However, if you’re wanting a deep, hydrating boost to the face, then Profhilo® is absolutely the right treatment for you.
How much does Profhilo cost?
Each Profhilo treatment is $750 and you will require 2 treatments initially 4 weeks apart.
We recommend maintenance treatments every 6-9 months of a single treatment which is $750
You are able to treat just your face, just or neck or if you wish to have your face and neck treated in the same appointment the cost is $1400 saving $100.
What is the downtime after Profhilo?
After a treatment, there is usually no downtime involved, however, you may experience some redness and small bumps and the injection site. We inject very superifically at 10 specific points on the face. At each of these points you will have small bumps visible that will usually disappear within 24 hours for most people. occasionally there may be some bruising but this will subside after a few days. It’s recommended that you avoid consuming alcohol, strenuous exercise or rubbing/massaging the treated area for 24 hours after. Also avoid anywhere that your skin may come into contact with irritants such as pools, hot tubs and saunas.
